These are the last of the Mercorgi dolls and many have "cosmetic" defects such as a crooked face, stitches showing, etc. Even though these little merpuppers aren't perfectly symmetrical, they still need to find a loving home to care for them. Mercorgi is ten inches tall, made with soft Minky fabric, and features embroidered details. Mercorgi exists thanks to the amazing backers of the Mercorgi Plush Kickstarter! This is a limited edition doll; I worked with my plush manufacturer to create a small batch of professionally made Mercorgi dolls, so once they're all adopted no more will be made.
Merpug, Mercorgi, and Merboston were created in 2013 by Jackie Ashley of Norfolk, VA. After making yetis and bigfoots, Jackie wanted to continue making cute cryptid plush. Mermaids seemed like the obvious next choice, but she wanted to change it up! She created the Norfolk Merdogs line in 2013. It was inspired by her love for dogs and influenced by seeing the City of Norfolk mascot sculptures everywhere, which just so happens to be a mermaid.
