Pug Mermaid Merpug Plush Doll ~ Team Shlii
Merpugs enjoy the tropical, turquoise seas around southern Shlii. Doggy paddling around coral reefs, chasing catfish, and bodysurfing onto the beach for some wonderful sun-bathing are a few of the Merpugs’ favorite activities! Ornate shells, gold coins, and jewels are often found in Merpug nests, which are usually tucked into rocky outcrops on the seashore.
Merpug is ten inches tall, made with soft Minky fabric, and features professionally embroidered details. Merpug exists thanks to the amazing backers of the Merpug Plush Kickstarter!
This is a limited edition designer doll; I worked with my plush manufacturer to create a small batch of professionally made Merpug dolls, so once they're all adopted no more will be made.
Merpug, Mercorgi, and Merboston were created in 2013 by Jackie Ashley of Norfolk, VA. After making yetis and bigfoots, Jackie wanted to continue making cute cryptid plush. Mermaids seemed like the obvious next choice, but she wanted to change it up! She created the Norfolk Merdogs line in 2013. It was inspired by her love for dogs and influenced by seeing the City of Norfolk mascot sculptures everywhere, which just so happens to be a mermaid.
